Reds
Mandurang Valley Wines has a fine range of red wines featuring four grape varieties. Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot are made as varietal wines. In addition the "Old Vine" is the Reserve wine of our range, made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot. It is matured in new French and American oak. The 2003 Shiraz and 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon have both gained gained Bronze Medals in the 04 Melbourne Wine Show.The 03 Cabernet gained 3 stars and the 03 Old Vine gained 3.5 stars in the Sept 05 Winestate Magazine.

Shiraz 2008

The excellent purple color signals a complex, full-bodied wine displaying ripe fruit characters in the bouquet. A well-balanced wine, with concentrated fruit and soft tannins evident on the palate. It has had 12 months in new and seasoned French and American oak barriques, which has provided further complexity.
This wine, although drinking well now, will cellar for at least five years.

Intense purple in color. Displays concentrated fruit aromas with a hint of mint. A very attractive balanced wine on the palate, with rich fruit flavors accompanied by subtle tannins. Added complexity has been gained from 12 months in both French and American oak barriques.
A lingering finish contributes to the excellent length of palate. Cellaring potential: 10+ years

Concentrated dark fruit aromas with a hint of oak. Good acid, intense cassis flavors leading to a gripping finish characterizing a very classy blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot. Probably the best to date.
